Severe weather update 235 pm

A tornado watch remains in effect for west Alabama until 7 pm. There are tornado warnings in effect in eastern MS, and those storms are approaching west AL, so be ready in places like Hamilton, Vernon, Aliceville, and Livingston.

With sunshine and south winds, temperature are now in the mid 80s in parts of west Alabama, with dewpoints near 70. Air is still warm aloft, but instability is increasing a little bit. A tornado threat, although not a significant one, will persist until around sunset.
