We have had an overdose of long lists of very heavy rain in September and October. Now is our chance to give you a long list of some exceptionally low temperatures for so early in the season.

….The 30 in Pinson tied the record low for October 19.
….Heavy frost at Scrougout, Munford, McCalla and probably other locations in low-lying areas.
….The low of 31 in Concord/Hueytown this morning was 30 degrees colder than the 61 in Salt Lake City.
….The 29 in Scrougout was 10 degrees colder than St. Ste. Marie in Upper Michigan.
…..Pinson, with a low of 30, was 18 degrees colder than the 48 in Minneapolis.
GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
Atop 6,400-foot Mt. LeConte, the low this morning was a very cold 17 after a high of only 23 Sunday. It was 21 this morning on Newfound Gap and 29 in Gatlinburg at the national park headquarters.
