Rain Progress Report–7:45 pm

Extensive rain has already spread across about the north third of Alabama tonight.

At 7:45 pm, the rain was moderate to heavy from Fayette, Walker and Cullman County north and northeastward..

The rain was spreading eastward.

Already about 1/2 inch has been reported at Muscle Shoals, Haleyville, Huntsville and Decatur.

The rain is now spreading into the Birmingham area.

By far the heaviest rain of all was across North and Central Mississippi, North Louisiana and East Texas.

So the Flash Flood Watch continues of a number of North Central and Central Alabama counties until 4 oclock tomorrow afternoon. Some places may easily get one to three additional inches of rain by that time.
