LZK: Monticello [Drew Co, AR] emergency mngr reports FLASH FLOOD at 01:22 PM CDT — the emergency manager reported that countywide flooding is beginning and that several county roads are being closed due to high water.

Just got something from emergency management that says 40% of the county roads in Chicot Co. are under water.

Just got this from emergency management: 95% of the county roads in Lafayette Co. are under water, but the water is beginning to recede. No injuries reported.

LZK: Camden [Ouachita Co, AR] law enforcement reports FLOOD at 03:45 PM CDT — arkansas highway 7 is closed due to flooding from camden to sparkman. this has been confirmed by the highway department. this is likely a combination of river flooding and flash flooding. the ouachita river stage at camden has risen enough such that the railroad underpass on highway 7 just north of camden is flooded.

I’m headed home at 4:30. I’ll have my PDA set to alert if I get e-mails from emergency management dealing with flooding. If such messages do come in, I’ll call them to the office so the forecasters can get LSRs sent out.

Is that Scenic 7 or the actuall Hwy. 7?

That’s actual Highway 7, I don’t think it goes by the scenic designation that far south.
