Radar Check – 8:15 p.m.

| October 6, 2009 @ 8:14 pm | Reply

Showers are over the Northwest corner of Alabama at this hour. They are part of an increasing area of showers over northern and northwestern Mississippi.

To the south, showers and storms are on the increase from Jackson to Meridian in Mississippi. A lead shower was over western Greene County, near Boligee.

The activity will spread east northeastward into Sumter, Greene, southern Tuscaloosa, Hale and Bibb Counties.

Between the two areas, the radar is rather clear. It should fill in later tonight ahead of an approaching cold front.

A beautiful Harvest Moon is visible to the east tonight from parts of the Birmingham area. Well, it is a waning gibbous Harvest moon actually. I hope you catch it.
