Thunderstorm Update

| September 6, 2009 @ 9:20 pm | Reply

The thunderstorm complex over southern Tennessee seems to be moving a little more south than southeast now and may mostly affect Mississippi.

No severe thunderstorm warnings now, but the storms continue to be quite strong. Flash flood warnings were required for a couple of counties in southern Tennessee where radar indicates 3-5 inches of rain has fallen.

There is still a chance that it could get into western parts of Alabama after midnight. We will be watching.

It is quiet across Alabama at this hour. Slowly dying showers over South Alabama.
