Late Afternoon in Alabama

There were several areas of showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon but they were more widespread across the south third of the state.There were scattered ones elsewhere.

At 5 pm across Central Alabama scattered thunderstorms were in progress from Pickens and Tuscaloosa County eastward to Coosa, Clay and Cleburne County in Eaast Alabama.

Storms were more isolated across the Tennessee Valley but there was a strong one near Guntersville.
