An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.

ONE MORE DAY OF STORMS: SPC has a slight risk of severe weather up today for a large part of Alabama as an upper trough lifts the tropical air over the state. Storms later today could pack a punch, and produce heavy rain, some hail, and gusty winds. Watch the Weather Xtreme video and you will see the risk area is along and south of a line from Huntsville to Tuscaloosa. Otherwise, today will be warm and muggy with a high in the mid 80s.

A CHANCE TO DRY OUT: Dry air moves into the state tonight, and it sure looks like most communities will be dry tomorrow with lower humidity, and a high around 80 degrees. We will be down in the upper 50s by daybreak Saturday.

We are still forecasting a dry weekend, with sunny warm days, clear pleasant nights, and low humidity values. Our first rain-free weekend in a while.

NEXT WEEK: Dry weather continues Monday, but we will phase in the risk of widely scattered afternoon showers and storms by Tuesday and Wednesday as moisture slowly returns.

VOODOO LAND: Nothing really unusual shows up into mid-June; no sign of any early season tropical activity, and routine warm and humid conditions are likely with the standard risk of an afternoon shower or storm in a few spots each day.

WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes.
