Early Afternoon in Alabama–1:30 Report

Not much change in the number of showers around the Alabama countryside since our last update–they are just in different communities. At 1:30, they were mainly in these areas:

1. Long row of moderate to heavy showers from Selma northward to Clanton, Alabaster, SW Jefferson County, Jasper, Double Springs.

2. Group of showers (and some thunderstorms) over Southeast Alabama mainly from Montgomery to Dothan.

3. Shorter line of showers over NE Alabama from about Ashville north to Gadsden and Boaz.

Overall, these showers are not as heavy as they were at this same time yesterday but that could change.

Whereas, almost all the showers yesterday were moving almost due north, this afternoon the movement is more toward the NE.

Little or no letup in the number of showers expected over the next two days.
