Showers Developing

Some widely scattered showers developed over North-Central Alabama this afternoon. At 1:45 p.m., they were few in number across Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Shelby, Jefferson, St. Clair, Walker and Blount Counties. They were moving toward the east.

Down south, there were more showers and even some thunderstorms over about the southern third of the state, including some heavy showers from near the Opelika-Auburn area down across Macon County and into Russell and Barbour Counties.

Other scattered heavy showers were over the south-central part of the state. Everything was moving toward the NE.
