Warning Issued

BMX issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Pickens, Winston [AL] till 7:15 AM CDT

The storms are about to slide into NW Marion County. They will reach Hamilton before 7, Vernon between 7 and 715 and Fayette before 730 a.m. Double Springs should see them around 745 a.m.

The good news is that the line appears to be weakening slightly as it moves into slightly more stable air from the earlier thunderstorm complex.

Still there will be a threat of damaging winds and torrential rains as well as deadly lightning and small hail and the storms push eastward.

I fear that this line will slow and settle into a a track along which thunderstorm cells will drain through mid-morning, producing a high threat of flooding.

BMX issues SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ALERT FOR CHEROKEE AND ETOWAH COUNTIES UNTIL 645 AM CDT for Cherokee, Etowah [AL] till 6:45 AM CDT

Pretty intense storms with lot sof lightning and heavy rain now from south of Fort Payne down throuhg Cherokee County to east of Centre.
