Call to Action…Marion/Lamar

| May 6, 2009 @ 6:06 am | 1 Reply

We want to give a little extra heads up this morning for our friends in Marion and Lamar Counties.

A line of intense thunderstorms with a history of producing damaging winds will be entering Marion and Lamar Counties between 630 and 7 a.m.

We want our friends in mobile homes to go to a site built home or other more substantial building as these storms pass. Trees will fall on homes and thunderstorm winds can overturn or destroy mobile homes.

Be in a safe part of your home or business as the storms approach.

Warnings will be required for Marion and Lamar shortly.

In addition, there will be torrential rain and lightning, some small hail, and there could even be brief spin up tornadoes.
