Radar Check + Other Notes

* Very heavy rain Lamar and North Tuscaloosa County NE across Fayette and Walker County. Should be some flooding.

* Intense bow echo in West Central Alabama moved into Hale County. These type radar signatures often create high winds that can uproot numerous trees. Moving toward North Perry County and Bibb County.

* Very heavy rain also from Montgomery northeastward to Tallapoosa and Chambers County

* New Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Central Alabama from about Tuscaloosa-Birmingham-Anniston southward. In effect until 12-noon.

* The south 1/4 of the state is under a Tornado Watch until noon.

* Number of reports of damage in Mobile area. We will try to post a list later.

* 4.22 inches of rain so far at Columbus, Miss.
