Earlier we reported on flash flooding in Hattiesburg MS.

Now we are getting reports of serious flooding in southern Marion County, MS, south of Columbia. People are trapped in houses on Henderson Canal road and fire dept is evacuating people by boat.

Flash flood warnings are in effect for several southeastern Mississippi counties. Some locations include Waynesboro, Hatttiesburg, Laurel, Purvis and Columbia.

New flash flood warnings in Alabama…for Dallas, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry and Sumter Counties till 3:30 AM CDT…some cities in t he warning include Livingston, Greensbor, Linden, Selma, Marion and Eutaw.

Don’t look now, but thunderstorms are intensifying and increasing in coverage across Central Mississippi around and to the east and south of Jackson. This activity will target West Central Alabama later.
