High Noon in Alabama

| March 27, 2009 @ 12:12 pm | 78 Replies

A good 80% of the land area in Alabama was not having rain at noon. There is some light to moderate rain over the extreme SE part of the state. That is the leftover stuff from that vicious squall line that moved across earlier this morning. That squall line moved all the way fromt he Mobile/Gulf Shores area across a number of SE Alabama counties and it was over in North Florida and Central Georgia this afternoon. Some Tornado Watches were along that line.

It still looks like the main action for Alabama will be at some point late tonight through Saturday morning. The nearest showers or thunderstorms to the west of Alabama at noon were over East Texas and not very many of those. That will change as the day wears on and especially tonight.
