Mostly Dry Through The Weekend
An all new edition of the ABC 33/40 Weather Xtreme video is available in the player below. You can subscribe to the Weather Xtreme video on iTunes by clicking here.
LOOKING GOOD: We will still maintain a slight risk of a shower late tomorrow thanks to a passing cold front, but most communities will stay dry due to the lack of moisture and strong upward motion in the atmosphere. The chance of any one spot getting wet is only about one in ten. The weather remains very mild tomorrow with a partly sunny sky and a high in the mid 70s.
FRIDAY AND THE WEEKEND: Sunny days, and clear cool nights on these three days. Highs will back down into the mid to upper 60s on Friday and Saturday, and we should be close to 70 Sunday afternoon. We note that Saturday morning will be pretty chilly with an average low of 40, but the colder spots could wind up in the 30s with some scattered light frost.
NEXT WEEK: Watch the Weather Xtreme video for details on next week… at this point it looks like we will have a good chance of showers and storms on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a sharp change to colder weather Friday and Saturday (March 27-28). Even some hint of snow flurries for the Tennessee Valley on those days, and all of North and Central Alabama will have risk of freezing temperatures at some point that weekend. We will be much more specific in coming days.
