**No afternoon Weather Xtreme video today**

WET WET WET: Periods of rain will continue through tomorrow night across Alabama; the 12Z NAM is printing 1.53″ for Birmingham; the GFS is a little drier with 1.01″. So, the initial thoughts of two inches of rain for North/Central Alabama night be a tad on the high side, but it still should be a nice, beneficial rain with no severe weather threat and no flooding issues.

The rain will taper off tomorrow night, and it looks like most of the day Sunday will be dry for North Alabama as the rain area moves south. We might even see a few peeks of sunshine Sunday afternoon.

NEXT WEEK: The weather continues to look dry and pleasant for most of next week across this part of our state; seasonal temperatures with highs around 70 most days. Some hint of isolated showers Thursday with a cold front, but limited moisture means most places will stay dry.

GULF COAST WEATHER: Showers remain possible along the Gulf Coast through Monday, but the rain won’t be continuous. They will thin out greatly on Tuesday, and the rest of next week looks dry. Highs along the immediate coast will be in the 66 to 69 degree range, but low to mid 70s are likely for inland areas. The sea water temperature remains in the mid 60s.
