Alabama at 1 am
Widespread rain and some thunderstorms continue but mostly over the north third of the state.
Some of the heaviest rain was over Lamar County.
Also, some of the heavier rain has spread northward in the last few hours more toward the Extreme North and the Tennessee Valley.
The Storm Prediction Center maintains the Tornado Watch until 3 am. However, the last formal Severe Thunderstorm Warning was around 9 pm.
Lightning detection equipment showed an upsure in activity around midnight, especially near the Alabama-Mississippi border. However, in the last 30 minutes or so, there has been a marked decrease.
Still a chance of some additional flooding problems in the next few hours.
