As Midnight Approaches

No formal warnings in Alabama at this hour but it is no time to relax.

* Tornado Watch continues until 3 am for a large part of Central Alabama and also a Flash Flood Watch.

* Plenty of very heavy rain in progress and some strong thunderstorms. Don’t be surprised to see some Flash Flood Warnings in the next several hours.

* Loud thunder and severe lightning over NE Jefferson County. Very heavy rain in the Tuscaloosa-Jefferson County area.

* Extremely heavy rain in the Columbus-Starkville area of East Mississippi. Flash Flood Warning in effect.

* Lots of strong thunderstorms over North Mississippi still on track to move into West Alabama. We will be here all night.
