Alabama 811 | Know What's Below.

Update

All info not available yet…more later. NAM shows precip lasting until Monday afternoon, with the air becoming cold enough for snow right at the end. GFS shows about the same thing, about 3 hours faster. Canadian model is colder, shows possibility of 1-2″ in central AL. The GFS and NAM both indicate that temperatures will be above freezing at BHM throughout the precip event…not going below freezing until Monday night after 10 pm. Maybe this will be an event where snow accumulates on grass and cars enough to look nice but doesn’t accumulate on roads.

We’ll be watching for remainder of ECMWF, UKMET, and NOGAPS, and it is now starting to get close enough that we can look at temperature trends and satellite/radar data to see if models are doing well.
