Sunday Morning Update
Good morning…
It’s not going to be a very nice day today…with a chilly north wind, temperatures in the 40s and a little light rain and drizzle across the area. Satellite photos show widespread low clouds back to the Mississippi River. Clearing will be slow, with most areas not catching a glimpse of sunshine until late in the afternoon.
Lake wind advisories are in effect for northwest winds averaging 12-22 mph with occasional gusts to 35 mph.
FROST POSSIBLE TONIGHT
Whiel we don’t expect widespread problems, with temperatures dropping into the 30s across the area, some of the normally colder locations will reach freezing. So, we will have to watch out for the possibility of frost. Be cautious with any tender vegetation if you live in one of the colder spots.
FOG?
With fairly high moisture levels and good radiational cooling conditions tonight, fog may also be a problem, so keep that in mind.
WEEK AHEAD
Showers Tuesday night into Wednesday with the next system, then fine weather into the weekend.
