WeatherBrains 155: Technology Guest
WeatherBrains Episode 155 is now online (January 12, 2009). If you are crazy about weather, this is THE netcast audio program for you!
The gang from Weather Brains breaks new ground for the show with a very special guest – Leo Laporte from the excellent podcast, This Week in Tech – also known as TWIT. Everyone knows we are nuts over technology so what better person to have on the show than Mr. Technology himself. James Spann will probably never be the same after this show.
Leo comes to us via Skype from Petaluma, CA, where it was in the low 80s today. And Leo talks openly about doing the podcasts and state of technology and media changes today.
Other discussions in this weekly podcast include topics like:
Our mail bag has gotten some special questions for our special guest, so James Spann handles the duties in this episode.
From The Weather Center:
WeatherBrains 101: To borrow a phrase from a popular song, “Does anybody really know how cold it is?” This week the extensive research department under the direction of the illustrious professor tackles the topic of thermometers as prompted by a question from Doug. And what a timely topic, too, as brutally cold air surges across much of the Nation this week.
TWIWH: Bill Murray has a scary story from the week of January 13th. The winter of 1952 certainly showed the power of nature as an immense snow storm became a big obstacle for a particular train.
Listener Surveys: Okay, we continue to drive this topic into the ground, but we really do like to hear from you. Many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to fill out the Listener Survey. The survey takes just a minute or two to complete and provides us with an opportunity to learn where you are and hear your thoughts and comments on the show. Click here to take the survey.

Interesting story from Russia – possible ice age?
