Thanks to John Hicks for these images… he writes:

“The cold front seems to have reached the coast, as a massive cloud boiled up out of nowhere this morning, and ran everyone in! I ran in to get my camera, but probably missed most of the development of the thing. Results: lots of thunder, no visible lightning, and a heavy two-minute downpour. Then the sun came back out… You can post these pictures on the blog, if you want!”
