Slow Clearing Tomorrow

CLOUDS HANG AROUND TONIGHT: Looks like clouds will hang tough tonight, and most likely the sky will be gray when you wake up in the morning. A southwest flow aloft will keep our surface front from moving too quickly, but we will play the optimistic card here and forecast clearing tomorrow, with sunshine returning by afternoon. If the sun does break out, we should see a high in the low 80s tomorrow.
THE REST OF THE WEEK: A relatively quiet pattern sets up for the rest of the week; highs will be in the 80 to 85 degree range. There is a good chance we reach the upper 50s both tomorrow and Wednesday morning for a nice fall preview. For now Thursday and Friday look dry, although we will have to watch for the possibility of a wedge setting up toward the end of the week.
THE WEEKEND: We might have a few raindrops around here Saturday and Sunday with a rather moist easterly flow, but that remains to be seen. We will hold off on any mention of rain for now; we can insert a chance of rain later in the week if models trend in that direction. If we do have some rain this weekend, most likely it won’t be a big event.
TROPICS: A wave approaching the Leeward Islands won’t develop anytime soon due to harsh winds aloft; the rest of the Atlantic basin is very quiet.
WEATHER BRAINS: Don’t forget you can listen to our weekly 30 minute netcast anytime on the web, or on iTunes.
