HUMID AIR: Humidity levels will stay elevated across Alabama today, and we expect more scattered showers and storms to form this afternoon and early tonight. Most of them will be over the northern half of the state, where odds of any one spot seeing rain are around 40-50 percent.
Strong storms are ongoing as of 5:15pm, but nothing severe right now.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for portions of west Alabama for a severe storm located near Paulette.
Heavy thunderstorms over the Birmingham metro have prompted a flood advisory to be issued.
