ANOTHER COLD START: A few of the colder pockets across North Alabama are below freezing this morning; many other have frost with temperatures in the low to mid 30s. South Alabama communities are in the 40s at daybreak. Expect a big warm-up today… with sunshine in full force we reach the 70s this afternoon.
Several tornadoes have been confirmed from Saturdays outbreak with additional surveys still ongoing.
SUNNY MONDAY: Not a cloud in the sky across Alabama this afternoon with a very dry airmass in place; temperatures are in the 50s over the northern counties, with 60s to the south.
Tons of sunshine in the Alabama sky today as the clean-up from the weekend storms continues. Highs this afternoon are ranging from the lower to mid 60s. Tonight will be clear and cold with upper 30s and lower 40s.
COOL: We actually have a few colder spots in the low to mid 30s across North Alabama early this morning with a clear sky; we are forecasting a high today in the 58-65 degree range with sunshine in full supply. We note the average high for Birmingham on March 17 is 67.

Round two of our severe weather event has ended, leaving behind gusty winds, cooler temperatures, and at least two confirmed tornadoes in Calera and Winterboro, with survey teams investigating over a dozen additional damage tracks.
Sunday will bring cooler and drier conditions across Alabama, with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s and a few lingering clouds in the northeast.
