COLDER: A new surge of cold air is pushing into North Alabama this afternoon with clouds and a chilly north wind. Temperatures are falling through the 40s over the northern third of the state this afternoon, but with a sunny sky we are seeing mostly 50s across the southern counties.
COLD: Some North Alabama communities are below the freezing mark early this morning; we note 30s all the way down to Mobile. SUNNY, COOL DECEMBER AFTERNOON: Temperatures are mostly in the 50s across Alabama with a mostly sunny sky. Tonight will be clear with lows generally in the 30s; colder spots will see a freeze.
