A Tornado Watch has been issued just to the west of Alabama and includes much of Central Mississippi. This watch is in effect until 9PM.
Sure is nice getting break and chance to dry out today from all the recent rains and we are even seeing some sunshine today.
A pesky upper-level low continues to spin across North Alabama today and that continues to keep us cloudy, chilly, breezy, and is even providing pockets of light rain and drizzle across the much of the area.
Plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures highlight the forecast for our Saturday afternoon. Temperatures early this afternoon are in the upper 80s and are expected to reach the lower 90s in many locations by the end of the day.
Daylight Saving Time ends tonight and we fall back onto Standard Time; be sure to set those clocks back an hour before heading to bed.
Rain continues to be a threat for today, but finally, sunny and dry weather will return to Alabama tomorrow.
This is one of the best weekends we have had in a while; the sky is full of sunshine and there is no rain falling.
