The line of strong storms is pushing across West Alabama at this time with strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning. A severe thunderstorm warning was just issued for Hale County, where trees have been reported down.
Strong storms are approaching Tuscaloosa. They are not severe but no have lightning, wind and rain.
Strong storms are over parts of Lamar, Sumter, Pickens and Tuscaloosa Counties in West Alabama and will move into Greene County shortly.
We continue to monitor an intensifying surface low over eastern Mississippi that is moving north-northeast toward western Alabama that could still trigger severe weather including the possibility of a few brief tornadoes.
Dangerous storms over Northeast Alabama are producing tremendous amounts of very large hail. Possible tornadoes are affecting northern Etowah, DeKalb and Cherokee Counties.
A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
Tornadic storms are passing near Hazel Green in Madison County and into northern Cullman County and Marshall County from Eva to Baileyton to Arab.
Thunderstorms entering Northwest Alabama contain lightning, brief heavy rain and possibly some small hail but should remain below severe criteria.
A few showers and storms are pushing through North Central Alabama this morning. Lightning and brief heavy rain will be the impacts.

At 5:00 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

A line of strong storms continues pushing east across Central Alabama this morning with loud thunder, heavy rain and gusty winds. There are reports for damage around Jemison in Chilton County.
Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.
