MILD MARCH DAY: Temperatures are in the 70s over most of Alabama this afternoon, but places like Dothan and Mobile in South Alabama are in the low 80s. Most of the state is enjoying a good supply of sunshine, but mid level clouds have moved into the central counties.
We continue to enjoy mainly sunny days with highs in the mid and upper 70s, with some low 80s showing up on the maps. Nights are fair and refreshing with upper 40s and lower 50s. This weather will persist through Friday across Alabama.
DRY THROUGH FRIDAY: Alabama’s weather will stay dry through Friday with partly to mostly sunny days and fair nights. Highs will be generally in the 75-80 degree range today, followed by low 80s tomorrow and Friday.
SUNNY MARCH DAY: Temperatures are in the 77-82 degree range across Alabama this afternoon with sunshine in full supply. Tonight will be clear with lows in the 40s and 50s.
Hard to find fault with the weather today and the rest of this week across Alabama. We are enjoying sunny days with highs in the mid and upper 70s, with low 80s expected in some spots.
MILD DAYS, COOL NIGHTS: Alabama’s weather will be rain-free through Friday with partly to mostly sunny mild days and fair cool nights. Highs will be mostly in the mid to upper 70s, but a few spots will reach the low 80s today and then again on Friday.
RADAR CHECK: Rain is confined to the far southern part of Alabama this afternoon; the sky has cleared over the northern counties. Rain over South Alabama ends this evening, and the sky becomes mostly fair statewide late tonight.
Most of the rain has ended across the northern half of Alabama, and through the afternoon hours, the sky will clear from northwest to southeast. Areas of rain continue across South Alabama, but this will come to an through the evening hours.
RADAR CHECK: Rain is widespread across Alabama early this morning along and south of I-59; there are few heavier storms over the southern counties, but they are well below severe limits. We note SPC (NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center) maintains a low end “marginal risk” of severe thunderstorms for far South Alabama and along the Gulf Coast today… a few storms there could produce small hail and gusty winds.
SUNNY DAY: Temperatures are in the 50s and 60s across Alabama this afternoon with sunshine in full supply tonight. Tonight will be clear and chilly, but not as cold last night.
After the frosty start to the day, we are basking under a sky full of sunshine across Alabama today. Temperatures this afternoon are climbing into the low and mid 60s for much of North and Central and South Alabama.
With a sunny sky, temperatures rebound into the 60s across Alabama today.
WINDY, COLD FIRST DAY OF SPRING: Clouds are over the northern 2/3 of Alabama this afternoon with temperatures only in the 40s in many areas; a strong north wind is making it feel colder. We have a few sprinkles on radar… even a little sleet in spots.
Clouds are hanging tough today, and we are seeing some light rain in pocket across the northern third of Alabama, also, we are feeling a chilly north breeze. Temperature today are in the 40s and lower 50.
