At 827 AM CST, emergency management reported two road closures near the Alexandria area. Heavy rain continues to fall that will continue to cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding.
The severe threat has now ended for all of Central Alabama, as the main line of showers and storms has now pushed well off into Georgia.
The line of showers and thunderstorms has now made it across a good portion of the state at this time, and has actually shown signs of weakening a little on the northern parts.
The line of showers and storms now currently stretch from Harvest in Madison County in North-Central Alabama, all of the way down to Silas in Choctaw County in Southwestern Alabama.
At 9:10 AM, a line of showers and storms was moving into the northwestern parts of Central Alabama, while the rest of the line is still back off in eastern Mississippi and slowly moving eastward.
Bands of moderate to heavy snow continue over parts of Alabama tonight. Heavy snow is approaching the Montgomery Metro area and will affect Auburn later.

Icing continues in pockets across Northeast and East Alabama. Elsewhere, temperatures are slowly rising. Conditions along I-20 are ok, although there could be some light freezing rain in spots through noon between Anniston and Atlanta.
