Small Spin Up Tornadoes Hit Reform and Ross Bridge
A small tornado may have touched down in Pickens County just before 4 p.m.
It formed just southeast of Carrollton and moved to just southeast of Reform.
There was a small velocty couplet, heavy shower and a ZDR maximum. There was a tornado debris signature at 425 p.m.
Possible roof damage was reported near Reform with roof damage. The damage may be fairly significant.
Something similar may have happened at Ross Bridge in Jefferson County about 415 p.m. A social media report says strong winds caused power outages, some damage in Ross Bridge area: shingles off roof of some homes, Some car windows busted out.
Another report: James we have damage in Ross Bridge and it was so scary. We ran and jumped in the closet. Happened about 30min ago. Shingles off the roof, windows busted, car windows busted, trash cans missing, patio furniture from the back yard in the front yard. Just thought you should know. However 2 streets over did not. Wondering about a possible tornado or spout
We will be monitoring for the possibility of brief spins up with any low topped supercells that are moving across the area the rest of the afternoon. The low level wind shear is so intense that those could occur with little if any warning.
