Areal Flood Advisory

The NWS in Birmingham has issued an areal flood advisory for all or parts of Pike and Barbour counties until 12:30 pm. Rain, heavy at times, will be moving across the warned area creating flooding issues due to the already saturated soils. Full text of the warning message along with a map of the warned area with current radar are below.

* UNTIL 1230 PM CST

* AT 932 AM CST...HEAVY SHOWERS WITH A ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
  SLOWLY MOVING OVER THE AREA. MOST OF THE AREA IS SATURATED FROM
  THE HEAVY RAINS OVER THE PAST WEEK. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING
  IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.
