The tail end of a line of strong and severe storms continues to move east through Cullman County. These storms have a history or producing damaging winds across northwest Alabama, where there have been numerous reports of trees and power line damage.

These storms will be impacting Interstate 65, as well as Highway 31 and 278. The worst of the storms will be impacting the northern parts of the county.

* AT 459 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL AND
DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED
ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM NEW MARKET TO SARDIS…AND MOVING EAST
AT 65 MPH.

RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER
COVERS THE ROAD.

THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING SIGNIFICANT WIND DAMAGE.
