Severe Thunderstorm Warning Fayette/Walker/Winston Counties until 6 AM
UPDATE: Lamar County EMA is reporting numerous trees down between Detroit and Sulligent.
These storms are producing wind gusts around 50 mph and could possibly exceed 70 mph. There is a report of some tree damage in Marion County as well as numerous reports of hail. Very heavy rainfall and frequent lightning are occurring too.
Cities included in this warning are Jasper, Double Springs, Haleyville, Curry, Fayette, Berry, Carbon Hill, and Cordova. U.S. 278, 43, and 78 will be impacted as well as Interstate 22.
These storms continue to race off to the east around 60 mph.

GU-WIN TO 8 MILES NORTHWEST OF MILLPORT…AND MOVING EAST AT 60
MPH.
