Mid-Morning Radar Check

A soaking rain continues across much of Central Alabama this morning. A majority of the rain has shifted to the south and east of Interstate 20, and it will continue to move east today. Heaviest rain is through the central portions of the state between Birmingham and Montgomery.

There are still few showers across northern Mississippi that will be heading east as well. These could certainly impact Central Alabama during the late morning hours. Most of the rain will taper off from west to east across the state by the afternoon hours.

It is noticeably cooler today and the clouds will hang around most of the day. Hopefully, we will see some clearing this afternoon.
