Cold, Rainy Day

| December 8, 2013 @ 12:05 pm

Temperatures are in the upper 40s and low 50s across the state today. Moderate to heavy rain is falling across portions of Central Alabama. There are even a few rumbles of thunder with some of the more intense downpours.

The rain is running parallel to Interstate 59 through the state and it look as though Interstate 59 is a more of a super-highway for rain instead of cars today.

Looking off to the southwest, there is a lot more rain lifting northeast from Louisiana and into southern Mississippi. That rain is heading towards Central Alabama and is going to make for a very wet afternoon. Even more showers and storms are expected to develop to our southwest as well, and will be impacting the state into the overnight hours.
