Not as Cold Tonight

| November 30, 2013 @ 6:51 pm

After several mornings in a row with frigid temperatures, where many locations had teens and twenties, we are looking to stay above the freezing mark in most areas tonight.

The area of high pressure that brought us the very cold air over the Thanksgiving holiday, has slid east of the state, and that is allowing a bit of a southerly flow into the state.

It will be another cold night, but as we look at forecast temps for 6 AM tomorrow morning, it would appear that most of north-central Alabama will stay in the 35-40 degree range, while areas of Tennessee Valley will be in the lower 30s.

Of course as we have seen recently, there is always a wide range of temperatures depending on local affects. There will be some areas in central Alabama that will make it to freezing, but most locations are expected to stay above 32 degrees.
