Wet Weather Moving In

| November 25, 2013 @ 2:09 pm

A look at the regional radar this afternoon shows a lot of rain is heading our way. This rain will overspread the state and will expand in coverage as an area of low pressure in the Gulf will be pumping in additional moisture.

The rain is falling along and north of Interstate 20 currently, with some descent radar returns over portions of Marion, Winston, and Cherokee counties.

There have been a few reports of sleet mixing with rain over northern portions of the state, and we to expect to see this for the next few hours. As more moisture moves in, this mix will turn to an all rain event. It is going to be a very wet night across Alabama as moderate to heavy rain is expected overnight and most locations are likely to see 1-2 inches of rain.

The rain will last throughout the day tomorrow and into tomorrow night.
