Cloudy & Mild Today

Midday check up on the weather shows a fairly dense cloud field has setup across much of the state. There are however a few peeks of sunshine breaking through in some areas. Even though it is cloudy, it will be a mild day. Most areas have made it into the upper 50s and low 60s. Heading through the afternoon those temperatures will continue to rise as most areas will see afternoon highs about 8-10 degrees warmer than where there are now.

Southerly flow will continue to bring warmer more moist air into the region. As a storm system begins to intensify to our west, the uplift across the state will increase some and this could lead to showers developing later on today. Nothing too intense, but there could be some affects for any outdoor activities today, especially any ballgames.
