A Gorgeous September Sunday

| September 8, 2013 @ 1:35 pm

Another gorgeous September Sunday is in progress across Central Alabama with mostly clear skies, peppered with just a few fair weather cumulus clouds.  Temperatures are warming through the upper 80s and lower 90s, heading toward highs that will range from 89F to 93F.

A nice night is in store, with lows in the middle and lower 60s.

As we enter a new work week, we will be watching to the northeast as a back door cold front tries to work into the area.  It probably will only get as far Chattanooga, but this will be sufficient to trigger scattered showers and storms tomorrow.  Still, the rain chance at any one location will only be 20-30%, with the best chances over northeastern sections.  Highs will range between 88-92F.

Expect only isolated storms on Tuesday and by Wednesday and Thursday, they will be scarcer than hen’s teeth.  Highs will be in the lower 90s.  Lows will be in the upper 60s.
