Rough weather is impacting a lot of us early this morning. The storms have made their way into Birmingham where lightning and very heavy rain is falling.

Strong storms are lined up from Lamar and Marion Counties east through Walker, Tuscaloosa, Jefferson and Shelby Counties. No severe storms, but the main concern with these storms will continue to be the threat for flash flooding. Several areal flood advisories have been issued by the NWS and that includes Birmingham and Jefferson County. Minor flooding has been reported in St.Clair County and Cullman County remains under a flash flood warning until 2:45 AM.

These storms will continue to drop south over the next few hours and will be soaking many areas with their heavy rains.
