Flash Flood Watch Expanded West
The NWS has expanded the flash flood watch into some of our northwester counties. Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston and Walker Counties are now included in this watch that is in effect until Saturday Morning.
Heavy rain continues to fall across north-central Alabama. Several inches of rain have fallen and several additional inches are expected as a very warm and moist air mass is in place across the state. Unsettled weather will continues for at least the next 24-36 hours across the state.

RAINFALL TRACKS ACROSS THE SAME LOCATIONS…THE THREAT OF FLASH
FLOODING WILL INCREASE THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. WIDESPREAD
RAINFALL TOTALS OF 2 TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MOST OF
CENTRAL ALABAMA…WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. THE
HIGHEST AMOUNTS WILL OCCUR ACROSS EAST CENTRAL ALABAMA AS WELL AS
