Strong Storms Appoaching State Line

| May 22, 2013 @ 1:24 am

A line of strong, currently non-severe storms is now approaching West Alabama. These storms are about to enter portions of Pickens, Lamar and Marion Counties. Over Central Mississippi, these storms were severe but have since weakened some. We are keeping a close eye on these storms, but we are not expecting them to reach severe limits.

These storms will be producing heavy rain, frequent lighting, loud thunder, possibly some small hail and very gusty winds. Reform, Sulligent, Millport, and Hamilton should see conditions deteriorate quickly. These storms will continue to push east over the next few hours and should be affecting areas around Tuscaloosa, Fayette and Jasper around 2:30-3:00 AM.
