This severe thunderstorm warning is for the extreme northern portions of Cullman County and will not be affecting the city of Cullman or the Interstate 65 or Highway 31. The community of Fairview is in this warning. This storm could be producing damaging winds and possibly some hail.

NORTHEASTERN CULLMAN COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA…
SOUTHEASTERN MORGAN COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ALABAMA…

* UNTIL 345 PM CDT

* AT 317 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM
WAS LOCATED NEAR CULLMAN…AND MOVING NORTH AT 20 MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
FAIRVIEW AND EVA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

DOPPLER RADAR HAS INDICATED SOME WEAK ROTATION WITHIN THIS STORM.
WHILE NOT IMMEDIATELY LIKELY…IF A TORNADO IS SPOTTED…ACT QUICKLY
AND MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IN A STURDY STRUCTURE…SUCH AS A
BASEMENT OR SMALL INTERIOR ROOM.
