The storms over Marion County have continued to intensify and show a threat of very large hail and damaging winds.

Wind damage was reported in Tupelo at 1:18 p.m.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR…
NORTHERN MARION COUNTY IN NORTHWEST ALABAMA…

* UNTIL 200 PM CDT

* AT 115 PM CDT…THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDICATED A SEVERE
THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING QUARTER SIZE HAIL…AND DAMAGING
WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 8 MILES EAST OF
TREMONT…OR 11 MILES NORTHWEST OF HAMILTON…AND MOVING EAST AT 20
MPH.

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
HACKLEBURG…PIGEYE…TESSNER AND BEAR CREEK.
