            A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST NORTHWEST OF DOWNTOWN
            BIRMINGHAM, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE METAL ROOF OF A
            BUILDING AND CAUSING THE OVERHEAD DOORS TO COLLAPSE. IT
            CONTINUED TO MOVE THROUGH A RESIDENTIAL AREA, CAUSING
            MINOR ROOF DAMAGE TO 5 HOMES. THE TORNADO PATH WAS 1.05
            MILES LONG AND 250 YARDS WIDE AT ITS WIDEST POINT. WIND
            SPEEDS WERE ESTIMATED AT 90 MPH.
