Hurricane Sandy Early on this Sunday Morning
Hurricane Sandy at 5 o’clock this morning was centered near 31.9 North and 73.3 West with sustained winds of 65 knots (76 mph) and gusts of 80 knots (115 mph) The solid cloud shield is now not that far offshore from the North Carolina Outer Banks. The National Hurricane Center, in their new information this morning says Sandy will continue to track northward until it turns westward and inland by late Tuesday into Thursday. That is when the REAL problems will begin. We will be posting more and more information on this Weather Blog about Sandy as the story unfolds.
