Tornado Watch in west Alabama until 10 PM

A new tornado watch has been issued for part of west Alabama and includes Greene and Sumter Counties, including the cities of Eutaw, Livingston and York. The previous tornado watch that included many other counties has been allowed to expire.

Tropical Depression Isaac is center over Interstate 20 in northern Louisiana and continues to move slowly to the WNW. Rainbands continue to come off the Gulf of Mexico and are wrapping around the center of Isaac. Within these bands small spin-up tornadoes and flash flooding are possible.
