Severe Thunderstorm Warning : Elmore County 4:15 PM
Look at these two radar images of the Elmore County storm.
Left side is base reflectivity. Shows precipitation reaching the ground.
The right side is composite reflectivity, which shows all of the tilts through the atmosphere. It indicates all of mass of precipitation that is suspended aloft by the updraft. What goes up, must come down. That means hail, heavy rain and the possibility of downburst winds.
We are bound to see some severe hail reports out of this one.
Storm was 7 miles northwest of Shorter at 3:48 p.m. Will move to near of just west of Shorter in the next 30 minutes.
